The Yellow City Hack-A-Thon hosted by Amarillo College, the Amarillo Tech Meetup and the Amarillo Technology Initiative will bring together participants to team up, plan, and build a creative solution to a local problem. Over the course of 24 hours on August 11th into the 12th, our teams will tackle the event's theme.
We've also invited tech evangelists to lead presentations and discussions about cutting edge technologies and solutions to local technology challenges. The Yellow City Hack-A-Thon will host many of Amarillo’s most creative and passionate programmers, designers, entrepreneurs, and marketers to build quite literally, something awesome, and they will be judged based on what they produce.
This is the 2nd event that follows up on the successful 2017 Amarillo Make-A-Thon: you don't want to miss this experience for Amarillo and the greater Texas Panhandle. All people 16 and older with creator-oriented skill levels are welcome from high school to working professionals and retired, novice techie to seasoned programmer.
As we prepare to launch the Yellow City Hack-A-Thon in August, we are seeking your support. Amarillo College, the Amarillo Tech Meetup and the Amarillo Technology Initiative will be promoting this event throughout the Amarillo and surrounding areas, providing a unique reach into the regional tech-minded demographic and opportunity for business visibility to our generous sponsors.
Sponsors will also have the opportunity to meet and recruit talented prospects during the event. There are many ways your business can help, including event participation, in-kind donations, presentations and guest speaker opportunities. Your investment and involvement will have a long-term, positive impact on the future success of young people in technology fields for our region.
